Autumn Term 2025- Week 8
FIREWORKS (7.11.2025)
*STARS OF THE WEEK*
***I can persevere….***
Maisie - You worked very hard at writing your name with Mandy, then wrote it with very little support from Rebecca on your picture, even the tricky 'e', we were very impressed.
Franklin - We were so proud of you working hard to hold your pen correctly to write your name copying over mandy's letters and then having a go on your own, well done!
Theo - You had the best time at the park. You were not keen to walk down so went in the pushchair, but it got a flat tyre so you walked all the way back. The teachers were so impressed.
Dear Parents,
We have focused on Bonfire night and fireworks this week. The children made firework pictures with paint and the coloured rice from last week. We watched some fantastic firework displays on the smart board. There was lots of ohhhing and ahhhing. We talked about safety, especially with the bonfire and sparklers. We also found a Peppa Pig song about fireworks which was very catchy.
We had a great walk on Tuesday and found a muddy puddle that Peppa Pig would have loved. Some of children made an island moving stones into one area, others used sticks to move the water around and others went for the classic walking or jumping in the puddle when the teachers weren't looking.
The children voted to go into the old garden on Wednesday morning. The younger children loved the slide, balls and plank. The older children challenged themselves with bats and balls and creating a throwing and catching game with a rugby ball, standing either side of the goal and throwing it over the top.
Next week we will focus on Rememberance Day, mainly just through making poppies and observing a minute's silents. As well as thinking about transformers and tranforming. Not sure where this will take us so you will find out next week.
Have a lovely weekend.
The Pebbles team.
