Dear parents,

What a week full of dinosaur creating and learning we have had.  Thank you so much to all the children who brought something dinosaur related in this week, especially Reggie - what a lovely selection you have.  Looking at the children dinosaur toys and books has encouraged us to learn new dinosaur names and facts.  We have introduced the children to the terms carnivore and herbivore, knowing which is which by looking at their teeth.  Reinforcing this will be our focus for next week as well as encouraging the children to make links in other areas of their learning.

We have all been involved in creating lovely dinosaurs with different fabrics, large trees and leaves and a volcano to produce our dinosaur display, which looks brilliant.

In P.E. we moved like different dinosaur and introduced crawling along the benches.  Mandy did it really well, her photo was nearly included. 

Next week our dinosaur theme will continue with making dinosaur skeletons; making dinosaur biscuits; following the dinosaur footprints; continuing with sorting and counting dinosaur; dinosaur related playdough and finding dinosaur fossils.
