***I am a World Book Week Star….***

Kit - We loved your outfit and accessories and your acting out of your favourite book 'Whatever Next!' as well as how brilliant you are with our youngest Pebble.

Lara - We were so impressed with your outfit and how well you told the children your favourite Paw Patrol story.  We loved how clear your speech was and how confident you were.

Luella - We loved that your outfit and book linked with the cup cakes you brought in for the children to eat.  How kind! 

Dear parents,

This week was very much taken over by Ruby's 18th birthday and World Book Day.  We celebrated books and reading for three days so that all of the children could get involved.  We were so impressed by how many children were keen to dress up and share their favourite book with their friends.  It was lovely to share so many great books with the children, some classics that we know so well and some new ones. We really noticed how sharing these books with the other children encouraged the children to communicate confidently. 

On Thursday (actual World Book Day) we were invited into the school for an 'Alice Wonderland' themed picnic lunch.  The children were wonderful, sitting on their seat the whole time, looking at all the big children's outfits in awe and watching a little bit of Alice Wonderland on the big screen.  We were so impressed that even when the older children were having cakes the Pebbles children continued to eat what was on their plates without making any fuss until they were offered one.

Thank you so much for sending the children in, in outfits (if they wanted to) but most importantly with wonderful books. 

We did watch mcgrammar on TikTok who raps famous children's books.  We watched the Gruffalo but there others that you might like to show your child.

Next week we are definitely going on Spring Walks; making playdough flowers and using the musical instruments to create Springtime music.
