Spring Term 2026- Week 10
Spring has sprung.... we think! (20.3.2026)
*STARS OF THE WEEK*
From now on 'Stars of the Week' will be included in the private email to parents.
Dear Parents,
We are continuing our focus on healthy eating for the rest of this term and have incorporated lots of physical activity out in the play area and up at the new garden. As well as starting to introduce growing e.g. our potatoes and wild flowers are now in the garden.
The staff are so committed to the NOF award that we all attended a conference last Saturday and learnt lots more about the benefits of different foods, cooking activities to do with the children to encourage their love of food and found out about new companies and resources that can help us in these areas.
We spent more time this week moving equipment up to the new garden, a lot of it with the help of the children. We have created a 'Floor is Lava' type obstacle course where they can get all around it without touching the ground. They love it!
With Reverend Claire we made lovely decorative easter eggs. As not all of the children could take part we have decided to do it with the rest of the children next week, so they all have one to bring home as well as a little easter treat that they will make. Stevie will continue her quest to complete the food wheel with lots of examples of foods that provide the children with a healthy balanced diet. We have now moved onto carbohydrates and as part of this focus we cooked spagetti for snack on Tuesday and sprinkled cheese on it. All bar two children had second helpings. We are looking forward to being able to do more of these kinds of snacks in our new building!
Have a good weekend,
The Pebbles team.
