We have completed our rainbow display - adding blue, indigo and violet in one go as their are less foods that are good for snack in these colours. The children did enjoy the blue and blackberries. We are very proud of the children that managed to bring items in form nature this week, there were some beautiful flowers that encouraged the children to use their sense of smell. We discovered that some flowers have a very storng smell and others hardly smell at all.
We are also very proud that our second batch of tiger worms stayed alive for two and a half days at Rebecca's house and have been successfully transferred into our wormery. Now the challenge is to keep them alive and create compost.
Infact we have alot to be proud of this week. The Year 6 children had their STATs this week and as it rained quite a few mornings this week they had to stay in and be quiet. The children were amazing, whispering to each other and earning themselves lots of stickers. We have thought about telling them the big children have tests everyday!
We are excited about next week's focus as we have finished individually looking at the different colours in our rainbow we will be focussing on all of the colours and making rainbow pizzas for snack. Instead of feeling fruit and veg the children will be using their sense of smell to try and identify them and our beautiful rainbow display will be finished with rain, grass and daisies.
